The Raconteurs and Richard Ashcroft added to the Heartland Festival line up

11 years after the release of their Grammy-honored album ‘Consolers of the Lonely’, American band THE RACONTEURS returns to Denmark when they visit Heartland 2019 this summer. THE RACONTEURS is a superband consisting of the former The White Stripes frontman, Jack White, singer-songwriter Brendan Benson and bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler, both of whom have a past in the garage rock band The Greenhornes.

The band came to the world in 2005 when White and Benson met and wrote the band’s biggest hit so far, Steady, As She Goes. It then led to two successful albums, Broken Boy Soldiers and the aforementioned Consolers of the Lonely. Later this year, THE RACONTEURS will be ready with a new album, which we hope to be able to sample at Egeskov Castle this summer.

At Heartland 2019, you can also experience “the world’s best songs”, if one is to believe Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Formerly The Verve’s lead singer RICHARD ASHCROFT visits Heartland with his fifth studio album Natural Rebel in the baggage, which was released in 2018 and is produced by renowned producer Jon Kelly, who has previously worked with Paul McCartney and Kate Bush, among others.

RICHARD ASHCROFT originally went through the 90s as a front man for the British pop band The Verve, which many will remember for hits like The Drugs Don’t Work, Lucky Man and then, of course, the Bitter Sweet Symphony, which could well find its way to the summer set list.
