BEN HARPER and his historic band THE INNOCENT CRIMINALS are the new big international name confirmed at the next edition of Pistoia Blues Festival 2019. BEN HARPER will hold his concert in Piazza Duomo on the 10th July for what will be a welcome return to the Festival for the American artist.

BEN HARPER is regarded as one of the most incisive and influential authors and performers of all time, able to transcend musical genres and talk about personal themes as well as political topics. Sold-out tours around the globe, records flew directly into the top 10 US charts, Gold and Platinum certifications around the world and incredible performances have made Ben Harper and his band the real world super-stars.

After his debut album in 1994, ‘Welcome to the Cruel World’, BEN HARPER released several highly successful studio albums including Fight For Your Mind, The Will to Live, Burn to Shine, Diamonds on the Inside, Lifeline (nominated at GRAMMY) and Call It What It Is in 2016. All these projects have seen collaboration with THE INNOCENT CRIMINALS, a band formed by Leon Mobley (percussion), Juan Nelson (bass), Oliver Charles (drums) and Jason Mozersky (guitar). The group, which has always performed live with Ben around the world, is distinguished by the diversity of musical genres to which the various components belong and which in some way makes each player complementary to the other.
