ASAP Rocky to Headline Positivus Festival 2020

Hip-Hop icon A$AP ROCKY is the first announced artist for next years Positivus Festival. Innovator, disruptor, designer, creative director, entrepreneur and evolutionary are some words that come to mind when to describe the artist. He will perform on Friday – July 17th. The Early Bird tickets are on sale until December 31st.

A$AP ROCKY is a cultural beacon that continues to move past the status quo and lead the pack by continuing to evolve, innovate and disrupt the industry. With several accolades under his belt including being the first black male to ever be named the face of Dior, having his sophomore studio album “At.Long.Last.A$AP” go platinum at 1.4M units, a top 5 spot on opening weekend for his starring role in the critically-acclaimed and indie darling film Dope which grossed over $6M USD, and becoming the Creative Director of MTV Labs. Continuing to prove that he’s not just a rapper that follows the status quo, but a creative force to be reckoned with, Rocky has gone on to pursue other successful creative endeavors within the art and fashion, film/ tv and lifestyle industries.

His official debut album “Long.Live.A$AP” finally landed in 2013 and featured the single “Goldie.” Santigold, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, and Yelawolf were among his guests, while production came from the likes of Clams Casino, Danger Mouse, and Jim Jonsin. Executive produced by Danger Mouse and Juicy J, the album “At Long Last A$AP” followed in 2015, featured FKA Twigs and Lykke Li as guests, and debuted at number one. Over the next two years, A$AP ROCKY was featured on a number of tracks, including Selena Gomez’s “Good for You,” Alicia Keys “Blended Family (What You Do for Love),” and Lana Del Rey’s “Summer Bummer.” In early 2018, he collaborated with Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, and London on da Track on “Cocky,” a single from the film Uncle Drew. His third solo album “Testing” ranked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 and featuring guest performances from the likes of Frank Ocean, FKA Twigs, Skepta, and Kid Cudi. “Potato Salad,” a collaborative single with Tyler, the Creator, and “Sundress,” a solo single, followed later.

In April 2019, A$AP ROCKY and Joey Bada$$ collaborated on the track “Too Many Gods,” which was featured on the compilation For the Throne: Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones. ~ Jason Lymangrover, Rovi.
