After the announcement that the international stars FLORENCE + THE MACHINE and THE 1975 will perform on the first day of the Milano Rocks festival, here comes the confirmation of TWENTY-ONE PILOTS and BILLIE EILISH who will be the protagonists of the second day, Saturday 31st August.
TWENTY-ONE PILOTS are formed by the singer, keyboardist and bassist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. The consecration comes with the album “Blurryface”, able to generate a series of hits such as “Tear In My Heart” (Double Platinum), Ride (7 times Platinum) and “Stressed Out”, winner of a Grammy Award and planetary success whose video has reached over 1 billion and 600 million views only on YouTube. In Italy “Stressed Out” is certified 4 times Platinum and “Ride” 3 times Platinum. “Ride” was followed by another hit single all over the world, “Heathens,” in the soundtrack of the film “Suicide Squad”.
The latest album is titled “Trench”, released last October, which with over 175,000 copies has become the best-selling album in the first week of publication. “Trench” with over 52 million audio streams is also the most rock album in the first week of publication. The new single from the album is “Chlorine”, which already has 12,000,000 views on Youtube a week after its publication.
Another revelation of world music to take on the stage of Milano Rocks is the singer BILLIE EILISH. At just 17 years the American singer-songwriter is already a worldwide phenomenon of streaming, quickly becoming the voice of her generation in telling the youthful obsessions, fragile emotions and a dark and gloomy romanticism. With over 15 million streams per day on Spotify, BILLIE EILISH is the revelation of these last years (for Los Angeles Time it even represents “the future of pop”). Since the debut with “Ocean Eyes”, the singer has quietly worked up to get the limelight of the pop stage.
Thanks to a powerful legion of loyal followers all over the world, an EP that has been on the Billboard Top200 for over 18 months and more than 5 billion global streams, her tours have sold out everywhere and now the release of her debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, available in all digital and traditional stores starting March 29th.
