The UK’s Larmer Tree Festival announces first acts for 2019

The wait is finally over, and organisers could not be more excited to reveal who will be providing the soundtrack to your summer. Feast your eyes on this lot!

Bringing their uplifting mash-up of alt-rock, jazz and ska to the Main Stage, organisers are thrilled to welcome Australian party-starters THE CAT EMPIRE, alongside the inimitable poetic talents of KATE TEMPEST.

Joining them will be folk-tinged acoustic singer-songwriter JACK SAVORETTI, fresh from a 2-date stint at Wembley Arena, and the UK’s biggest-selling country-music act THE SHIRES.

Southport’s indie-rock veterans GOMEZ celebrate 20 years since their Mercury Award winning debut album, while critically-acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter KT TUNSTALL makes a welcome return to the Larmer Tree Gardens.

TANK AND THE BANGAS will be getting the Festival on its feet with their unique New Orleans sound, and JADE BIRD is sure to cement her place as one of UK’s hottest new talents.

Larmer Tree may have missed out on Q Album of the Year winners LET’S EAT GRANDMA in 2018, but organisers are thrilled that they will be returning for a long-overdue visit to the Festival this year. Also returning to complete last year’s missing set are multicultural four-piece FLAMINGODS who promise to blow us away with their psychedelic-flavoured live show.

UK’s exciting new jazz scene is strongly represented by GOGO PENGUIN, the EZRA COLLECTIVE, and MELT YOURSELF DOWN, so get ready to get your groove on.
