THE STROKES are finally back in Sweden, one of the best rock bands, one of the biggest rock bands. Most likely the only pop stars, and undoubtedly the only fashion icons, that came out of the millennial rock boom. Elegantly wasted, as Rolling Stone put it in a story, and right on time.

To have them as headliners at Way Out West will be a dream come true – both for and thousands of Scandinavian fans. Just the thought of hearing the first notes of Last Nite or Reptilia ring out during a wonderful summer evening in Slottsskogen makes us go weak in the knees.

Three more albums (and, they say, a new one on the way) and many years later THE STROKES sound as fresh today as they did back then. For example, their recent New Year’s Eve gig at Barclays Center in Brooklyn was a triumph, full of energy and hits that never grow old. ”When we was young, oh man did we have fun”. The fun is to be continued in August.

Please welcome acclaimed producer CARIBOU, who will perform an intimate Stay Out West set with a full live band, eclectic electronic duo BICEP, house DJ icon and veteran record producer KERRI CHANDLER, top selector and crate digger MAFALDA and last but not least DJ extraordinarie JAYDA G. nobody interested in having a good time will end up disappointed by these additions.
