THE NATIONAL described their set at the inaugural edition of APE back in 2018 as “a memorable evening playing music with friends as the sun set over Victoria Park”. And their second appearance is set to be even more special, with it being their first London show in over two years.
Forming in 1999, THE NATIONAL have released eight beloved albums across two decades. Led by Matt Berninger alongside two sets of brothers, Aaron Dessner & Bryce Dessner and Scott Devendorf & Bryan Devendorf, they’ve secured both critical and commercial success with their expansive, brooding brand of alt-rock. The Grammy-winning band have also become known for their individual collaborative work with the likes of Taylor Swift and Bon Iver.
The National are joined by the influential, instantly recognisable indie-folk of FLEET FOXES, Australian cult favourites KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD and indie heroes KURT VILE AND THE VIOLATORS, as well as PERFUME GENIUS, LOW, LUCY DACUS, RAE MORRIS, CASSANDRA JENKINS and BESS ATWELL, with even more to be announced!
