Chef’Special, Selah Sue & Volbeat added to Pinkpop 2022

Today we complete the Pinkpop program on Saturday with CHEF’SPECIAL and SELAH SUE. The Danish rock machine VOLBEAT is now also on the bill of the 51st Pinkpop edition, as a replacement for QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE. Previously, headliners METALLICA, PEARL JAM and IMAGINE DRAGONS were announced and big names such as TWENTY ONE PILOTS, ROYAL BLOOD, NOTHING BUT THIEVES and MÅNESKIN.

With their feel-good mix of funk, rap, pop, rock, ska and reggae, CHEF’SPECIAL at Pinkpop will treat you to a delicious fusion of styles on Saturday 18th June. After sold-out stages, a hit with ‘Afraid of the Dark’ and their fourth album ‘Unfold’, the band will travel to the South this summer to perform at Pinkpop for the fourth time.

The Belgian singer SELAH SUE is also there, with the yet to be released album ‘Persona’ in her pocket, she returns to Pinkpop. The new album promises a new and extremely personal collection of songs in which the singer, who broke through with ‘Raggamuffin’, reflects on the antidepressants she has been prescribed since her teenage years. With these two names, the Saturday program of Pinkpop 2022 is complete!

After the band was previously confirmed for the 2020 edition that could not take place, it is finally time again on Sunday 19th June after 11 years: VOLBEAT are back at Pinkpop. VOLBEAT replaces QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, who have been forced to cancel the festival due to changed tour plans. VOLBEAT recently celebrated their twentieth anniversary and kicked off a co-headlining arena tour in the United States with Ghost, sharing the top spots on the major US rock charts at the same time. VOLBEAT‘s new album ‘Servant of the Mind’ contains the most catchy, hard rocking and melodic songs that singer-guitarist Michael Poulsen and his men have ever recorded.

With the addition of CHEF’SPECIAL and SELAH SUE, 54 of the 62 acts have been announced, bringing the total number of acts yet to be confirmed to 8 stay tuned!
