Sam Fender & Bicep confirmed for Øya Festival in Norway!

New British sensation SAM FENDER travels to Tøyenparken on Thursday 13th August to play Øya Festival!

SAM FENDER, who topped the UK album list with his debut will play the same day as The Strokes, Michael Kiwanuka, FKA Twigs, Signe Marie Rustad, Parquet Courts and many more!

Last year came the debut album of the new British hope SAM FENDER. Hypersonic Missiles features catchy, melodic rock that appeals to fans of Springsteen, The War on Drugs, Oasis and The Gaslight Anthem, among others. The album took first place on the UK album list, selling well in several European countries. Perhaps this is the future of the British stadium racks.

The Line of Best Fit: – This is a debut album that cements Fender’s place on the golden table: the perfect first attempt.

After his first singles, he was selected to the list of new artists the BBC had most faith in in 2018, along with Sigrid among others. A few months before the debut album was released, he was honored to warm up to Bob Dylan and Neil Young. In addition to the artist career, Fender is an actor, and has appeared in several British TV series.

SAM FENDER is an amazing live artist. Mancunion.com gave 10 out of 10 after a concert in Manchester this fall: – You can tell that this boy has a passion for what he does, has an incredible love of music and is a born performer. I never think anyone has seen anyone look so happy to be on stage performing.

The duo BICEP is originally from Belfast, but is based in London. Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson have a common love for old obscure disco, techno and house, and are often famed for their good taste. They succeed in revitalising established or older styles. In 2012, they launched their own label, Feel My Bicep, named after a successful blog they had run for a few years. Since 2015, they have played live, and two years later came the successful debut album, which was released on Ninja Tune. A remix of the song Opal from Four Tet became a club favorite.

An album that functions seamlessly as a listen-in-one-sitting affair, with enough memorable stand-alone moments to keep the club contingent happy, Bicep’s debut is a clear front-runner for best house record of the year.

The Skinny

BICEP has played giant festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Sonar, Pitchfork Festival and Primavera. They sell concerts on both sides of the Atlantic. This spring’s two shows at O2 Academy Brixton sold out in minutes. BICEP got a lot of response to the previous live show, and now they have something even bigger and better in stock.
