OZUNA is a leading Puerto Rican singer song-writer part of a new generation of Latin musicians. The son of a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother, he grew up in the midst of Caribbean cultural diversity, which influenced his vibrant musical style. He developed a passion for Latin urban music early on and at just 12 years old he was already writing his own songs.
At 23 OZUNA’s career was taking shape with the release of two singles, successful on both radio stations and digital platforms. “Si Tu Marido No Te Quiere” and “No Quiere Enamorarse” were the first sample of this young Puerto Rican artist’s talent. In 2016 he released a remix of “No Quiere Enamorarse” featuring Daddy Yankee, followed by another successful collaboration in “La Ocasión”, which would become one of the first hits of trap music to come from the Latin world. In the summer of 2017 he released his debut album, Odisea, which was number 1 on the best-selling Latin album chart for 46 consecutive weeks
After releasing the documentary Música Sin Fronteras on YouTube – a biographical film without precedent in the Latin music scene – OZUNA released his second album in August 2018. Aura once again dominated the best-selling Latin album chart, with Ozuna performing in Latin America, the US and across Europe. Despite his short musical career, OZUNA has over 105 nominations and 56 awards under his belt. He has collaborated with household names like Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi, Nicky Jam, DJ Snake, Cardi B, Selena Gómez, Post Malone, Snoop Dogg, Rosalía, Anitta, amongst many other stars. In 2019 he digitally released the album Nibiru. “Baila Baila Baila” and “Amor Genuino” are two singles that prove that OZUNA is in excellent form, which will create great expectations for his concert in Portugal, at MEO Sudoeste.
