Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds confirmed for South Facing Festival 2023

NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS are announced today for a huge open-air headline gig at South Facing Festival next summer. Taking place at Crystal Palace Park on Friday 28th July 2023, tickets go on general sale on Friday 11th November at 10am!

South Facing Festival is the capital’s biggest series of open-air concerts from the biggest names in music, taking over the Crystal Palace Bowl – a venue rooted in South London and steeped in musical history. Since its debut in 2021, South Facing Festival marks a new era in outdoor entertainment with an unbeatable line-up of artists spanning the worlds of rap, indie, rock, pop, classical and more.

The announcement follows the release of a brand new single, ‘Pretty Boy’, the first to be revealed from Noel’s forthcoming studio album, and signalling the beginning of a new creative chapter. Recorded at Noel’s own studio in London, Lone Star Sound, and co-produced with Paul ‘Strangeboy’ Stacey, it also features long-time friend and collaborator Johnny Marr on guitar. JOHNNY MARR and his band will also join NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS performing as special guests at South Facing Festival in 2023.

In the two decades prior to the emergence of NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS in 2011, with their eponymous album that shot to #1 in the Official UK Albums Chart, went double platinum, and has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, Noel Gallagher was main songwriter, lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of Oasis. One of the biggest and most loved bands ever to emerge from the UK, his prolific songwriting continues to play a tremendous role in shaping and inspiring contemporary guitar music. Noel’s success with the High Flying Birds further cements his position as one of the most gifted, successful and enduring songwriters to come out of the British music scene in the last 50 years.
