Next summer’s Ruisrock will feature several gigs by much-requested international and Finnish artists. Performers include, among others, top producer MARTIN GARRIX, super group MAJOR LAZER, indie pop artist GIRL IN RED and glam rockers THE ARK.
DJ and producer MARTIN GARRIX, who has established himself on the world’s largest festival stages, has collaborated with numerous big names in music, from Dua Lipa to Khalid. Known as a versatile EDM and pop artist, MARTIN GARRIX will spread joy with his music at next summer’s Ruisrock on Saturday.
On Friday, the audience will be hyped up by MAJOR LAZER, formed by Diplo, Walshy Fire and Ape Drums. The trio have dominated playlists and festival stages for over a decade and proven, time and time again, their pioneering role as a group that combines styles and influences in unexpected ways.
GIRL IN RED, who has had a wild rise to popularity, talks about love and mental health in her music in a refreshingly humane way. The Norwegian artist, considered a queer icon, has also said she understands the importance of having role models you can identify with. THE ARK, on the other hand, is one of the most iconic and successful Swedish bands of the 21st century. The band’s unapologising stage show will be seen at Ruisrock on Sunday.
Next year’s Ruisrock will also feature a large number of contemporary top artists from Finland, including ANTTI TUISKU, HALOO HELSINKI!, TEHOSEKOITIN, JVG, BEHM, ELLINOORA and KAIJA KOO. The festival will also feature rap artist HASSAN MAIKAL, R&B and soul messenger ROSA COSTE and pop singer VIIVI, whose big choruses and hit singles have elevated her as one of the most interesting newcomers in the Finnish scene.
