No one less than KENDRICK LAMAR plays Oslo Summertid on Saturday June 27th! The American rapper and songwriter has won all thirteen Grammys, six Billboard Music Awards and the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for the album DAMN. This will be his fifth biggest concert in Norway ever!
KENDRICK LAMAR is undoubtedly the most recognised rap artist of his generation. He is one of the rare ones to have achieved critical and commercial success, while honouring the respect and support of those who have inspired him.
This is the definition of the dream booking itself. The artist who filled the Telenor Arena to the brim and reaped fives from the media is a dream to get as headliner for Saturday at Voldsløkka. It is now possible for a magical weekend in Oslo at the end of June!

After several years of hard work, LAMAR reached the charts in 2010 with the album Overly Dedicated. During a concert in 2011, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and rapper The Game proclaimed him “The New King of the West Coast”.
With, among other things, albums good kid, including a.d city from 2012, the Grammy-winning To Pimp a Butterfly from 2015 and the Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning DAMN. from 2017, KENDRICK has proven to be one of the biggest. This was the first time the Pulitzer Prize jury approved music outside the genres of classical and jazz, and they referred to DAMN. as: “a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.”
Black Panther: The Album, released in 2018 and is the soundtrack to the movie Black Panther. LAMAR curated and helped produce the album, which is also the source of three of his top ten hits. With the song “King’s Dead”, KENDRICK won his thirteenth Grammy Award. The film itself kicked off with an Academy Award for Best Picture.
