Isle of Wight Festival adds 23 new acts!

In honour of the festival’s ‘Golden Jubilee’, all attendees are invited on Saturday 23rd June to adorn themselves in gold for a weekend of fun and celebration. Expect to see sparkling divas, shining stars and victorious gladiators come together for this year’s 50th anniversary.

Pop sensation CAMILA CABELLO’S international smash hit “Havana” logged five weeks at UK #1, becoming the longest-running female number one single since Adele’s “Someone Like You”. “Havana” followed huge singles “Crying In The Club” and the Machine Gun Kelly collaboration, “Bad Things”. New single “Never Be The Same” has already hit the UK Official Charts Top 10 and continues to climb. Her recently released critically-acclaimed self-titled debut solo album ‘Camila’ broke records as it peaked at #1 on iTunes in 99 countries, entering the UK album chart at #2.

MANIC STREET PREACHERS emerged in 1991 and have since released 12 studio albums, which include ‘This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours’, ‘Everything Must Go’ and ‘Generation Terrorists’. The band have recently announced their 13th studio album ‘Resistance is Futile’, out April 13th.

With eight studio albums, three compilations, two EPs and 34 singles under their belt, Welsh rockers FEEDER are now bringing their heavy guitars and sugar sweet melodies to the festival. With hit singles including ‘Buck Rogers’, ‘Just The Way I’m Feeling’ and ‘Comfort in Sound’ the crowds will certainly be out for their set in June.

We headlined the big top in 2016 after almost a four year hiatus and the atmosphere was electric. It’s great to be invited back, especially with it being the 50th Anniversary year. IOW has always been one of our favourite UK festivals to play and this year’s line-up is a cracker. See you there – Feeder

CHASE AND STATUS (Will Kennard, Saul Milton and MC Rage) are one of the most successful British bands of the past decade. They have released four studio albums to date including the ground-breaking debut ‘More Than A Lot’ and double platinum-selling sophomore ‘No More Idols’. Third album ‘Brand New Machine’ debuted at no. 2 in the album charts and was followed by last year’s top ten album ‘Tribe’.

Sonic innovators NILE RODGERS and CHIC will wow crowds with renditions of iconic party anthems such as ‘Le Freak’, ‘Good Times’ and ‘Everybody Dance’. Nile’s work with the CHIC Organisation and his productions for artists like David Bowie and Madonna have sold over 200 million albums and 50 million singles worldwide.

Pop superstar RITA ORA rose to prominence in 2012 and with four BRIT award nominations, eleven top ten singles and Number One platinum-selling debut album under her belt has gone on to cement herself as one of the most successful UK pop acts of the last decade. The multiplatinum, London-born songstress JESSIE J came to prominence with her 2010 debut single, ‘Do it Like a Dude’, before going on to win the prestigious BRITs Critics Choice award. Since then Jessie J has gone on to sell over 16 million records worldwide.

KODALINE released their platinum selling debut album, ‘In a Perfect World’, in 2013 and followed it up with the Top 5 UK Album ‘Coming Up For Air’  in 2015. More recently the band released the acclaimed single ‘Brother’ last summer and have played sold out shows across the world including to over 40,000 at their homecoming show at Marlay Park in the summer of 2017.

We’re so excited to be playing such an awesome festival! This will be our third time performing at Isle of Wight festival and we can’t wait. British musical group SOUL II SOUL formed in London and are best known for their 1989 UK chart-topper hit ‘Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)’, and ‘Keep On Movin’.  The group have since won two GRAMMY Awards, and been nominated for five BRIT Awards – twice for Best British Group.

Liverpool quartet CIRCA WAVES released their debut album ‘Young Chasers’ in 2014 which saw the band’s popularity and profile rise over a meteoric six months, culminating in a sold out Brixton Academy show. This was followed by their recent second album ‘Different Creatures’ featuring the massive ‘Fire That Burns’ and another sold out UK tour.

International singer, songwriter and actress, SHERYL CROW has released ten studio albums, four compilations, a live album, and has contributed to a number of film soundtracks. Sheryl has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and has garnered nine GRAMMY Awards, out of an incredible 32 nominations.

LOUISE is one of the UK’s most successful female recording artists of all time, and with a body of work spanning nearly 25 years, Louise will be revisiting some of her biggest hits including the R&B-tinged ‘One Kiss from Heaven’, power-anthem ‘Naked’, classic tracks from her time in Eternal, as well as some of her favourite covers.

21 year old indie artist TEN TONNES shot to attention with the self-release of his debut EP ‘Lucy’ which attracted the attention of BBC Radio 1. The release of his second EP ‘ Born To Lose’ along with his high energy live performance have earned him continuing support; including a live Maida Vale session with Huw Stevens, as well as plays from Jo Whiley (Radio 2), John Kennedy (Radio X), BBC 6Music and KCRW. His new single ‘Lay It On Me’ is out now.

THE PROFESSIONALS were formed in 1979 from the ashes of the Sex Pistols, but split just 3 years later.  In 2017 the band reformed spearheaded by Paul Cook and featuring Paul Myers (Subway Sect), Tom Spencer (The Yo Yos) and Chris McCormack (3 Colours Red).  ‘What in the World’ marked their first new album in 35 years when it was released in October 2017,  to much acclaim from fans and critics alike.
