Faith No More and Twenty One Pilots confirmed for Rock Werchter 2022

Get set for two big new names for Rock Werchter 2022: TWENTY ONE PILOTS and FAITH NO MORE. Both will appear at the festival on Saturday 2 July. Earlier it was announced that Pearl Jam will top the bill on Thursday 30th June and Metallica on Friday 1st July.

TWENTY ONE PILOTS are among the greatest success stories of the twenty-first century. The numbers don’t lie. Their breakthrough ‘Blurryface’ (2015) was the first album of the digital era on which every track went at least gold in the United States. The single ‘Stressed Out’ made the duo the first rock act to achieve more than a billion streams on Spotify. Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph are born entertainers. In 2014, they played early in the day at our KluB C; next year they return to the Festivalpark as superstars, bringing with them their new full length ‘Scaled and Icy’.

FAITH NO MORE have always gone against the flow. The Americans do so with humour, a healthy sense of perspective and a strong faith in their own talent. Faith No More is not just an exceptional band; they are also of great historical importance. In the 1980s, they were the first to blend metal with funk and hip-hop, and were the founders of what became known as ‘crossover’. Hits like ‘We Care A Lot’ and ‘Epic’ paved the way for Nirvana and inspired Korn and Limp Bizkit. The motto of the San Francisco quintet is freedom, the outcome is modern metal. Faith No More defies categorisation!

With the last two editions postponed, Rock Werchter will be back next year, in full and at its best, from Thursday 30 June to Sunday 3 July 2022. Get set for a party like never before. More names for Rock Werchter 2022 will be announced later.
