Duran Duran headline Jelling Music Festival 2022

Organisers are proud to once again be able to announce DURAN DURAN as the festival’s international headliner. The concert in Jelling will be the band’s only performance in Denmark in 2022.

The last weekend in May, lead singer Simon Le Bon, bassist John Taylor, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and drummer Roger Taylor will play on the festival’s Big Stage in front of 35,000 spectators – just as they should have done in 2020.

The band is currently up to date with the critically acclaimed album ‘FUTURE PAST’ which has been created in collaboration with a large number of artists, such as Tove Lo, Mark Ronson and Graham Coxon, guitarist in Blur. Disco / dance pioneer Giorgio Moroder and DJ / producer Erol Alkan have produced the record.

The new album is released 40 years after DURAN DURAN’s debut album, and adds new facets to the band’s already awe-inspiring back catalog. ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’, ‘Ordinary World’, ‘Rio’, ‘Girls on Film’ and ‘The Wild Boys’ are just some of the band’s big hits, while their soundtrack ‘A View To A Kill’ as the only Bond song has ever topped the US Billboard chart.

DURAN DURAN made a massive breakthrough in the early 1980s, defining the sound of an era and then becoming a world name. Their innovative mix of music, art, technology and fashion has proven to be a timeless band that has managed to reinvent itself several times in its career – not least on ‘FUTURE PAST’.
