First of all, organisers issued a massive thank you to everyone who bought tickets to the first ever Groezrock Indoor – SOLD OUT edition.
In the meantime, we are getting right back to business as we have another festival to organize in Meerhout on April 26-27 2019. Yes! The open air GROEZROCK you love so much is back. And then some! Just take a look at the first confirmed acts.
Festival organisers are very excited to welcome back Boston’s pride and joy, DROPKICK MURPHYS. It has been eight years since we had to pleasure of having them over, so it was about time we brought back these Celtic punk legends.
Joining them are Sweden’s punk rock heroes MILLENCOLIN. Can you believe their debut album will be 25 years old next year? Welsh pop punk giants NECK DEEP will be bombarding you with anthems off of their latest record ‘The Peace and The Panic’. And party animals BOWLING FOR SOUP are coming over as well. Make sure you don’t miss them. It will be your only chance to catch them on the mainland.
The unstoppable live force that is COMEBACK KID will be back for another round of melodic hardcore mayhem, while former TURBONEGRO HANK VON HELL will be putting in a first appearance at Groezrock to promote his first solo album.
Electronicore is a thing. Just ask Germany’s ESKIMO CALLBOY, who are bringing their “satirical party-hardy porno metal” to Groezrock. Belgian’s metalcore pride FLEDDY MELCULY is even funnier and harder. Yes, the songs are in Dutch, but please don’t let that stop you from moshing your ass off.
Emo-revivalists CITIZEN released ‘As You Please’ last year. It did very well in the charts and it will do even better in Meerhout. As will the pop punk anthems of Good Charlotte besties MEST. They first burst onto the scene in 1995 and are still going strong.
Last names in this first batch of band announcements are the very exciting groovy hardcore band HIGHER POWER, riff-heavy rockers TRADE WIND featuring STICK TO YOUR GUNS’ Jesse Barnett, the furious hardcore band Sharptooth and Canadian hardcore beasts GET THE SHOT.
There is more news, though. Because there are so many amazing new bands out there and organisers have a profound fear of missing out, they have added another stage. You heard that right … there will be a fifth stage where exciting new up-and-comers get to show what they are made of.
Oh, and seeing as everyone else is raising their ticket prices, Groezrock thought the punkest thing we could do was lower our prices. That means you can get your combi ticket for just 99 euros (exclusive service cost) instead of 110 euros. For the mathematically challenged out there, that is 10% off!
Tickets are on sale now https://www.groezrock.be/tickets
