Festival organisers have been waiting for EXCISION at Dour Festival for 10 years now, so they feel very honoured to have him as one of the festival’s headliners this year. As for his career, the Canadian has been busy working on many projects since 2011; after collaborating with the iconic metal band Korn, Excision, whose real name is Jeff Abel, founded the band Destroid in 2012, with whom he will debut his futuristic live shows with the exceptional audiovisual shows that have established his reputation. Since 2017, he has headed the Lost Land festival, which has quickly become a standard in the genre, annually showcasing the must-see artists of the bass music scene. You’ve been warned, the explosive drops of the artist  will leave you wanting more.

Barely 20% of Dour Festival’s programming has been unveiled and we already have the most exciting hip hop names with A$AP ROCKY, ALKPOTE, EARTHGANG, FLOHIO, GOLDLINK, NEKFEU, NISKA, OBOY, OXMO PUCCINO , STORMZY and ZWANGERE GUY, who also curates Boombox for the opening evening on Wednesday!

That was just for starters! French rap’s latest revelation KOBA LaD will also make the Boombox shake this year. Fresh from creating his second studio album ‘L’Affranchi’, a certified platinum disc, he will perform for the very first time at the Dour Festival, as will the Franco-Martinican artist KALASH with his subtle blend of reggae, vocoded dancehall and rap. Another great first is FREEZE CORLEONE, described as ‘like Ra’s al Ghul in Batman’ by his sidekick from 667, Zuukou Mayzie… ‘a mysterious, skilful, intelligent character at the head of the League of Shadows.

While Lorenzo has just been announced, it’s the turn of another member of the Columbine collective to make his debut at Dour Festival. This time, it’s the languid rap of LUJIPEKA that will drive the crowds wild, alongside the rapper from Perpignan with the warm and airy beats, NEMIR.

Saturday will be an opportunity to meet two rising artists of the moment. At the crossroads between rap, trap and R’n’B, PRINCESS NOKIA and LOUS AND THE YAKUZA land at the Dour Festival this year, armed with their highly charged flows and heartfelt lyrics.

The next day, it’s the mysterious VLADIMIR CAUCHEMAR who takes the reins, with his wacky and unique live show.

Sunday will also be a day for reunions, as the legendary bass duo TNGHT are back centre stage after a seven-year absence, with its brand new album “TNGHT II“.

AND finally for today World famous electronic music legend CARL COX is one of the four curators programming the opening night of Dour Festival on Wednesday 15th July. He has finally unveiled his line up!

This will be the first time at Dour Festival for the highly respected CARL COX. An acid house veteran and dance music pioneer, he will take control of the Red Bull Elektropedia Balzaal for the first day of anthology.

The people he has invited to join him include the American MACEO PLEX, a veritable machine who really gets the crowds going with his futuristic techno combined with vibes from his Latin roots, the British artist EATS EVERYTHING, who will inundate the audience with his broad musical palette alternating between house, techno, disco, garage, funk and jungle, and the excellent LA FLEUR, the Swedish DJ and producer now based in Berlin and head of the impressive Power Plant label.
