When Northside welcomes the new festival site at Eskelunden on 2nd June, it is with a very special scene, ELECTRA. A specially designed stage for electronic music with CAMELPHAT, ARTBAT, KÖLSCH, PETE TONG and ASHIBAH among the 16 artists announced.
ELECTRA is not just a place you go to and from when you need to listen to music, but its very own universe that you can soar into. Here you can chill during the day at the podiums, which transform into illuminated dance platforms when the music plays and cool off with a drink at the bar on top of a wild party with friends.
The stage ELECTRA itself will have room for a minimum of 4,000 dance-loving festival guests who can indulge in music under a roof of laser light. The development of the new area has taken place with our great focus on sustainability in mind, and several parts of both the stage and the surrounding area are built up of recycled materials such as wood and plastic.
The majority of the lineup is already in place, and thus 16 electronic names have now been added to this year’s program. The artists have been found on the top shelf of both the Danish and international electronic scene with a special focus on genres such as melodic house / techno, tech house, indie dance and other sub-genres, which reflect the global trends right now. The main names include artists such as CAMELPHAT, the Ukrainian duo ARTBAT, the iconic radio DJ PETE TONG and the Danish artist KÖLSCH, who plays one of only a few concerts in Denmark at NorthSide Festival and in the company of several exciting new artists, there will be plenty of opportunity to dance the night away to your great idols and fall in love with new musical acquaintances.
The program on the ELECTRA stage is far away from the recognisability of the radio and Spotify’s algorithms. It calls for rave parties, where the many facets of techno come into their own with music that spans everything from melancholy and soft melodies to the hard synths and great climaxes. ELECTRA is tailored for the discerning, quality-conscious raver as well as all the curious who want a deeper electronic music experience in international format. With the establishment of the ELECTRA stage, Aarhus and NorthSide will be seriously on the technoland map.

The first Danish and international artists for the festival’s other stages have already been released and count names like NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, LEWIS CAPALDI, JADA, GIRL IN RED and most recently THE MINDS OF 99, who on Wednesday announced four exclusive festival concerts – including one at NorthSide.
There is a minor change in the program, as New York rapper PRINCESS NOKIA has unfortunately had to cancel her appearance on NorthSide.
