Chvrches, The Futureheads, Honeyblood & more announced for Latitude Festival

Today Latitude Festival unleashes a second wave of musical acts to join headliners GEORGE EZRA, SNOW PATROL and LANA DEL REY at the multi-award-winning Latitude Festival taking place at the stunning grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk, across 18th-21st July 2019.

Latitude is renowned for booking an exceptional array of talent and 2019 takes it to a whole new level, as this year’s line up is erupting with a diverse range of huge names, and trailblazers.

Performing on The Obelisk Arena are Glasgow’s electro-pop superstars CHVRCHES who are on the brink of the big time following a much-feted tour of their third Top 10 album Love Is Dead which was released last year. The emotionally drenched vocals of Lauren Mayberry mixed with big synths make the trio a must see. Joining them are fellow Scottish indie legends THE FUTUREHEADS who have returned after seven years away with a new record incoming and backed with such anthems as ‘Hounds Of Love’, ‘Decent Days And Nights’, and more. HONEYBLOOD, the Scottish indie rock solo project of guitarist and singer-songwriter Stina Tweeddale, will also perform in The Obelisk Arena, and THE KINGDOM CHOIR, the famed gospel choir who performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

BBC Sounds Stage is also bursting with some of the best in music. Nominated for two Mercury Prize Awards, EVERYTHING EVERYTHING will headline the stage on the Saturday night. Giants of adrenalin synthpop and every genre in between, their idiosyncratic trademark will make for a welcome addition to the line up. Other additions include Norwegian luminary AURORA described as the ‘Mythical Lovechild of Björk and Grimes’, plus folk-pop JENNY LEWIS who’s highly anticipated fourth studio album On The Line is out on March 22nd, and Scottish post-punk band THE TWILIGHT SAD fresh off the release of their fifth album It Won/t Be Like This All The Time. Felix White signed feel-good guitar stars THE MAGIC GANG who have worked their way up the bill since performing on The Lake Stage in 2017 will also perform on the BBC Sounds Stage, as will nostalgic indie quartet THE BIG MOON, and electric multi-genred KERO KERO BONITO. Other additions are Lana Del Rey favourite JONATHAN WILSON, and experimental sludge pop from Latitude locals LET’S EAT GRANDMA.

Set to headline the Sunrise Arena are psych-pop four-piece TELEMAN following the success of acclaimed third album Family Of Aliens, rising R&B singer songwriter RAY BLK who won BBC’s Sound of 2017 and was the first unsigned artist to do so, and Dirty Hit Records artist THE JAPANESE HOUSE whose ethereal debut album Good at Falling, co-produced by BJ Burton (Low, Bon Iver, Francis and the Lights) and The 1975’s George Daniel, is already receiving wide spread applause.

Latitude is famed for breaking new talent and nurturing artists, and an eclectic range of acts await revelers in the Sunrise Arena including A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS, BEADADOOBEE, BILLY LOCKETT, CAVETOWN, CROWS, ELDER ISLANDS, FOXING, GEORGIA, GIRLPOOL, IDER, LAZY DAY, LUCIA, NILÜFER YANYA, NO VACATION, STEAM DOWN, THE MURDER CAPITAL, and THE TESKEY BROTHERS.
Something for everyone would be an understatement – this is a mind-blowing lineup to make you want to stay at Latitude forever.
