Festival organisers are proud to welcome the very forefathers of doom metal – CANDLEMASS – back to Sabaton Open Air.

With the whole genre taking its name from their 1986 debut album, Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, this Stockholm band wrote the rulebook that many have followed since.

In an amazing new development, the band has reunited with original vocalist Johan Langquist after a 32-year hiatus, meaning doom fans at Sabaton Open Air will be able to get a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse of where it all started.
