Brit Award nominees and energetic dance electropop trio YEARS & YEARS, join this year’s Colours of Ostrava festival.

YEARS & YEARS is led by singer, musician and actor Olly Alexander, who is currently an icon and unmistakable speaker of the LGBT community. Before winning the BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2015, with a successful debut, the band climbed to the top of the British charts and won four Brit Awards.

In a gradual effort to find out who he is and what he means to be gay, he came to a public coming out at the Glastonbury Festival. In the documentary Growing Up Gay, he spoke openly about his sexuality, his youth with bullying, depression and bulimia. “I blame one thing for not doing it earlier: I didn’t trust anyone, I didn’t talk to anyone about it. Remember, you’re not alone” said Olly, breaking the taboos from then on.
