Download Festival Promoter Andy Copping is thrilled to have NXT back in the Download family.
I am incredibly fired-up to welcome WWE NXT back to Download Festival. This festival’s exclusive marriage of rock and wrestling is totally unique and the only place where you can see the world’s most legendary rock stars and the brightest WWE prospects together. If previous years are anything to go by this is going to be the biggest most fun weekend ever.
Easter has come early as festival organiser have also added a sweet 21 more bands to the #DL2018 line up. It’s time to run away with the circus as AVATAR are bringing their epic melodic metal to the Main Stage.
The Zippo Encore Stage is set to party harder as ANDREW W.K is going to be headbanging his way back to Donington and post noughties alt rock pioneers HELL IS FOR HEROES are set to make their overdue Download debut.
Also, joining headliners YOU ME AT SIX, PARKWAY DRIVE and BABYMETAL on the stage are nu-metal skate punks CKY who’ll be serving up sludgy riffs and undeniable swagger and three-time Grammy nominated rockers NOTHING MORE fronted by the electrifying Johnny Hawkins.
The Avalanche Stage presented by Kerrang! Radio’s Fresh Blood has just gotten even bigger as we’re overwhelmed to announce punk legends BAD RELIGION as the final headliners. Also joining the stage are UK up and comers BLACK FOXES whose ragged raw cerebral edge has made them undeniable ones to watch. And, that’s not all for the Avalanche Stage as organisers have also added seminal UK pop punk band, A, fresh from supporting Hell Is For Heroes, harmonious LA punk foursome BAD COP / BAD COP and more.
Download Festival is also thrilled to announce CULTURE ABUSE, LAWNMOWER DETH, STARCRAWLER, DED, BEING AS AN OCEAN, ECCA VANDAL, IGORRR, LOATHE, KAISER FRANZ JOSEF, HELPLESS, CELLAR DARLING and ANCHOR LANE have been added to the already bumper Download 2018 line up.
