Whitesnake, Trash Boat, Alien Weaponry added to the Download Festival UK line up!

The legendary WHITESNAKE have released a new album, TRASH BOAT drop a Linkin Park cover for Mental Health Awareness Month, and ALIEN WEAPONRY are back with a killer new single.

Here they go again – WHITESNAKE have finally returned. It’s been four years since the release of 2015’s ‘The Purple Album’, and now they’re back to blow our minds with rock n roll once more with their 13th album ‘Flesh & Blood’. Lead single ‘Shut Up & Kiss Me’ gave us a taster of what’s to come, but now you can stream the full thing and prepare to rock out at the Main Stage on Friday.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, TRASH BOAT have released a cover of Linkin Park’s ‘Given Up’. “May is mental health awareness month, and with this cover comes a reminder to be the voice that counterbalances the army of negativity in someone’s head”, explains frontman Tobi Duncan.

New Zealand newcomers ALIEN WEAPONRY have released a huge new track ‘Ahi Ka’, and it’s inspired by a subject close to the band’s heart – the Auckland city council’s decision to burn down an indigenous Maori village in 1953.

We decided to write about it because it’s one of these untold stories in New Zealand history that really had a great impact on a lot of Maori

Guitarist Lewis de Jong
