When TWENTY ONE PILOTS first appeared at Pinkpop in 2014, the duo from Columbus, Ohio, was still relatively unknown. The breakthrough of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun with their stubborn mix of just about all relevant pop music of today came a year later, with third album Blurryface – and they really hit it off.
Everything TWENTY ONE PILOTS touched turned into gold. For two years, they toured like madmen, taking a break only to be able to quietly record album Trench (released 2018). In November 2019, the band concluded a thirteen-month tour and last week, on May 26th 2020, the live album ‘Level of Concern (live from outside)’ was released.
We have to wait a little longer, but we definitely have something to look forward to next year on the Pinkpop Friday!
