The Script confirmed for Milano Summer Festival and Pistoia Blues Festival in Italy

THE SCRIPT are back in concert in Italy on July 9th 2020 at the Pistoia Blues Festival in Piazza Duomo and the following day, the 10th at the Milano Summer Festival at the SNAI – San Siro racetrack.

To open the Italian concerts there will be BECKY HILL, a young English singer-songwriter among the most popular of contemporary British pop.

After more than 6 billion streams, 30 million singles and 11 million albums sold, over 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 1.8 million tickets sold, the Irish trio THE SCRIPT released the new album on November 8th, ” SUNSETS & FULL MOONS ”.

‘The Last Time’ is the single of the big comeback that launches ‘Sunsets & Full Moons’. Danny O’Donoghue (vocals, piano, guitar), Mark Sheehan (vocals, guitars) and Glen Power (drums) continue with their inimitable style and unmistakable writing that has transformed the band into a true power, able to fill the arenas around the globe.

‘Sunsets & Full Moons’ is like a sequel to THE SCRIPT debut album. Both jobs arrived, in fact, after a turbulent period in terms of emotions: O’Donoghue lost his father at the time of the launch of their first album and 10 years later his mother during the making of this project (both parents are disappeared on Valentine’s Day). The record therefore reflects the mood of the band, their personal experiences and themes dear to all fans of the group.

I think it’s the most moving record we’ve ever created. “Our music has always spoken of the magnificent relationship with our audience, of writing about our feelings and sharing our emotions.

Danny O’Donoghue

THE SCRIPT started to compose the album right after the end of their triumphal tour in support of the ‘Freedom Child’ album of 2017. Once again the group – exactly as in the beginning – embraces the unifying power of simple things: catchy motifs, melodies irresistible and overwhelming feelings. The album is self-produced and was recorded near the Metropolis Studios, with the help, as far as mixing is concerned, of Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Coldplay, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean), Manny Marroquin (Post Malone, Lizzo, Dua Lipa) and Dan Frampton (AuRa, Maejor, Jack Savoretti).

No frills, no production, just us playing and giving the best of ourselves!

Mark Sheehan

The theme of the album is simple, concludes O’Donoghue: “no matter how much darkness can penetrate into our lives, there will always be room for light, again”. Praising hope and positivity in difficult times, THE SCRIPT is more alive and vital than ever.
