THE NATIONAL, THE CARDIGANS, RUFUS WAINWRIGHT, KURT VILE & CAROLINE POLACHECK are among the first 11 names for the MUSIC program at next summer’s Heartland Festival.
When we once again stand together on the green fields in front of Greenfield Stage and Highland Stage, it turns into a phenomenal mix of community-song-capable bands and strong debut solo artists.
The American Indoor rock stars of THE NATIONAL, along with Swedish pop darling THE CARDIGANS, American-Canadian chamber rock champion RUFUS WAINWRIGHT and indie people’s great hero KURT VILE are the first major names for this year’s MUSIC program.
With them are the shooegaze legends THE JESUS & MARY CHAIN, blues icon SEASICK STEVE, success doubler PHLAKE, CAROLINE POLACHEK of Chairlift, who just released her critically acclaimed debut album, Savages frontwoman JEHNNY BETH, currently adds the soundtrack to the hit series Peaky Blinders, and the newly restored indie group EFTERKLANG as well as the grunge heroes of PSYCHED UP JANIS.
