The Modfather Paul Weller is confirmed for Rock in Roma 2020

Two years after the last Italian dates, PAUL WELLER is pleased to surprise the loyal listeners, announcing new summer concerts that cover the whole of Italy from North to South.

On Friday, July 24th the great “The Modfather” will be in ROME, at the Auditorium’s Cavea Parco della Musica, for an exclusive ROCK IN ROMA live show.

Fans from all over Italy will therefore have the opportunity to witness the eclectic talent of one of the leading representatives of the Mod culture live. Starting from punk, PAUL WELLER went through acid jazz to go from solo to new sounds, boundless in pop, folk, soul and even in electronics. This incredible capacity for experimentation emerges in Weller’s flourishing discography, which since 1992 has published as many as fourteen studio albums, the last of which, True Meanings (Parlophone Records), was released in 2018.

British singer, guitarist and composer, PAUL WELLER is a real institution in his homeland: most of the lyrics of his songs draw inspiration from English culture. The debut debut takes place in 1977 with the publication of In The City (Polydor Records) with the Jam, band of which he was frontman and with which he reached the top of the English charts several times. In 1982 he founded the Style Council together with keyboardist Mick Talbot, in order to explore the boundaries of acid jazz. Once this experience ended, PAUL WELLER started his solo career, punctuated by success after success, both in public and in critics!
