The 6th edition of Lollapalooza Berlin will be headlined by Rage Against the Machine

This year, Lollapalooza Berlin will celebrate its 6th edition, starting into the festival season by announcing the first headliner that will make all music lovers jump for joy: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. After a nine-year hiatus, the band will embark on a reunion tour, making a Germany exclusive stop over at Lollapalooza in Berlin on September 6, 2020.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE was founded in Los Angeles in 1991, becoming the voice of an entire generation with their eponymous debut album. Apart from sociopolitical lyrics, their music put the crossover genre on the map a mix comprising metal, hip hop, punk, funk and alternative rock. After nine years and three more albums, the band split up in 2000.

In 2007, however, singer Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bass player Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk got back together to embark on a reunion tour. In 2011, things quieted down again – until now!

It’s quite a sensation to welcome RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE to Lollapalooza –the festival which stands for respect, open-mindedness, love, freedom and tolerance like no other.

More artists to be announced soon!
