Solange to play Øya Festival on Friday 14th August

With the album releases A Seat at the Table (2016) and When I Get Home (2019), SOLANGE has in recent years established herself as one of the most exciting superstars in modern RnB. She is known for powerful concerts that you will never forget and on Friday 14th August, she closes the main stage at Øya Festival!.

In addition to an impressive artist career, she is a producer, actress and dancer. SOLANGE has collaborated with top names such as Missy Elliot, CeeLo Green, Janelle Monae, Earl Sweatshirt, Pharrell Williams, Dev Hynes, Mark Ronson, Gucci Mane and her sister Beyonce.

After a debut album that was pop-based, for the first time, she entered the top ten on the sales lists with Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams in 2008. This release had the larger feel of the classic soul mix with more modern expressions. The subsequent A Seat at the Table earned her a fully deserved first place on the US album list. For the song Cranes in the Sky, SOLANGE received a Grammy for best RnB. When I Get Home was one of last year’s very best albums, and she has been inspired by jazz, hip hop and electronic music.

When I Get Home reminds us that a frontrunner of R&B in her own right. With soothing production, enveloped with numbing vocals, she leaves you in a state of utopia. This surprise album of 2019 was something we didn’t know we needed.
