Snow Patrol confirmed for MEO Mares Vivas 2020

Gary Lightbody’s band, Nathan Connolly, Paul Wilson, Jonny Quinn and TomSimpson bring to Vila Nova de Gaia the latest album, released in 2019, Reworked. SNOW PATROL will present new songs from the latest album Reworked, released in 2019.

The group, which brings together elements from Ireland and Scotland, already has six albums in its repertoire and millions of records sold around the world, including hits like “Run”, “Chasing Cars”, “Open Your Eyes”, ” Signal Fire ”and“ Just Say Yes ”. Formed in the 90s, Snow Patrol achieved worldwide recognition with the song “Chasing Cars” from the platinum album “Eyes Open”, that year’s best selling album in the United Kingdom, remaining on the Bilboard 200 for more than 15 weeks. SNOW PATROL’S success, “Chasing Cars”, was announced in 2019 by PPL as the most played song on 21st century British radio.

Since their debut in 1998 with the album ‘Songs for Polarbears’, the band has garnered an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including over 17 million global album sales, over 1 billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums , an Ivor Novello award and nominated for a Grammy and Mercury Music Prize. The band group emerged as musical prophets at heart in the shadow of grunge style and shallow pop, touching the minds, memories and hearts of listeners. The quintet already has 25 awards and 51 nominations in more than 20 years of career.
