Slash, Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth, Clutch and more for Copenhell 2019!

on

COPENHELL adds 16 new bands from a multitude of different genres of music to the hard end of the scale of next year’s festival poster.

The iconic Guns N ‘Roses Guitar Virtuos Slash started ten years ago on an exciting solo career next to the big rock band and is now joining Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy in the group SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS, which will be a of the year’s big rock names at COPENHELL 2019! The unstoppable American rock band CLUTCH returns to COPENHELL with their hard, jerky, punked and groovy blues rock, and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS visits Refshale Island for the first time with a concert that combines tummy grunge nostalgia and hard modern rock!

Everyone who survived LAMB OF GOD’s madness concert at COPENHELL 2012, knows what we can look forward to when Randy Blythe & co. returns to Refshale Island in 2019 with a monster of a metal concert: A chain explosion of musical rage from the stage and – perhaps – a whole new record for the biggest Wall of Death ever at the festival. The wild Swedish vikings from AMON AMARTH are one of the largest institutions in the field of Nordic death metal, and they are sailing the longboats on a new army mission against Copenhagen this summer. Austrian BELPHEGOR channeled incarnate wickedness with their incorruptible blacksmith’s death metal, which will hit the COPENHELL audience as a musical weapons of mass destruction.

Danish HEILUNG is an experimental folk band with members from a number of different countries, which have never been shot out of the underground and have become immensely popular. The band’s live performances have the closest character to pagan, shamanistic rituals in a total experience, where the audience is involved in a fascinating spiritual ancient universe. The second exciting Danish element in this series of bands is the young Copenhagen CONVENT, who plays gloomy doom-metal, and at the beginning of the year played a way to the festival with a nice concert at When COPENHELL Freezes Over 2018.

KVELERTAK plays their Norwegian wave metal with a wildness and intensity like few others! Their blend of fiery black metal and groovy rock’n’roll is a top-performing musical winner combination, packed with bubbling energy and irresistible singalong factor. The legendary punk band REFUSED has inspired a host of other bands over the years, and COPENHELL’s audience is finally allowed to experience the Swedish veterans live at the festival. The TERROR hardcore fighters will also deliver their aggressive and edgy raging underground sound, while the crossover-thrash icons from MUNICIPAL WASTE will create a party in the pit!

From the British Islands comes ORANGE GOBLIN, which plays thrashed and groovy stoner metal of the type that causes sore neck muscles for several days afterwards. The metalcore band WHILE SHE SLEEPS comes to penetrate the audience with their tough, explosive sound and contagious sparkling live energy, while Welsh SKINDRED enters the poster with their wild and crazy “Ragga Metal” which pushes the limits of metal and rock genres to the utmost!

Finally, we are also delighted to welcome the supergroup THE FEVER 333 to COPENHELL 2019: With the charismatic Letlive singer Jason Butler behind the microphone, Night Verses drummer Aric Improta on the pots and former The Chariot guitarist Stephen Harrison on the ax delivers the band their rifled and grooved metal with a force of the Rage Against the Machine and their own very special mix of hip-hop and post-hardcore. It’s getting fast, it’s going to be hard and it’s going to be hell’s hell!
