It has been lovely, but cold December, and on that occasion we would like to give you a little warm up – already now you can look forward to experiencing ANDERS MATTHESEN, BENJAMIN HAV & FAMILIEN, BIKSTOK, MELANIE C, STATISK and TESSA at Smukfest 2022.
After the gigantic cinema success Ternet Ninja 2, several book releases and various roles in feature films and TV series, ANDERS MATTHESEN is back on the stand-up stage, where he is currently experimenting with new material. On Sunday, he will perform at Bøgescenen with excerpts from the ultra-fun stand-up pool he has written in recent years. You can grab your Sunday ticket at Smukshop.dk.
The next one organisers can proudly present on the poster is BENJAMIN HAV & FAMILIEN, who with a penetrating personality and an insane flow has marked himself as one of the best rappers in Denmark. His music sends listeners on a marvellous, musical journey through his sensuous and convoluted text universe.
The third artist on the poster is BIKSTOK – the first Danish-language dancehall group, consisting of Eagger, Pharfar and Blæs Bukki. Their debut album “Over Stok Og Sten” set in motion a new movement within Danish music and has since confirmed the members as icons on the Danish music scene.
If you remember Spice Girls, you will definitely remember MELANIE C too! During the time with the legendary all-girls pop group, MELANIE C also went by the name Sporty Spice, who with her Adidas sneakers and Kappa tracksuits took the stage with the greatest KA-POW energy – And she still does! With over 100 million albums sold, 50 million streams in her top 10 on Spotify and numerous awards, MELANIE C has gained momentum over the past few decades. Fortunately, she has found a place in the calendar for a trip to Bøgeskoven, where we can look forward to a performance full of disco, girl-power, dance and colorful outfits that send one straight back to the 90s and 00s dance floors with everything, that they entailed.
The next name on the poster is STATIC – a dynamic duo from Odense consisting of Mathias Ranch Skov and August Kulmann Halle. A duo who, with their first EP under the same name, marked the beginning of a journey where poetry and production stand in strong synergy, and where the youth’s intoxication flows out of every single stanza and note. STATIC is an explosion of nerve and presence.
Last but not least, the queen of Danish rap TESSA, who since 2019 has rolled heavily into the airplay playlists, streaming services and the country’s stages. And this summer we will experience her at Smukfest! With a sublimely confident energy, she takes the stage, delivering lines of oppressive technical surplus, no bullshit and an unreserved connection with her crowd.
