American, SHARON VAN ETTEN, rises to the Sagres Stage of NOS Alive’19 on July 11th, and brings with her the new album “Remind Me Tomorrow”, with release scheduled for January 18th, 2019.
The new album, “Remind Me Tomorrow,” was written during a special period for the artist throughout her pregnancy, while studying psychology and auditioning for the Netflix television series “The OA.” At the same time that Van Etten was guest on the “The OA” series, the actress and songwriter took her music to the screens, as part of the return of David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks”. Also during this time she composed for the film “Strange Weather” by Katherine Dieckmann and for the “Tig” series by Tig Notaro.
The breadth of her passions and projects throughout her career profoundly influenced this album. “Remind Me Tomorrow” comes four years after “Are We There,” one of the 10 most acclaimed albums in 2014. In this new album, Sharon tells how life is lived when the present is postponed with its low, intimate timbre, but “Remind Me Tomorrow,” is an ambitious album that provokes the most sensitive impulses.
John Congleton, the producer of this work, helped reverse the signature of SHARON VAN ETTEN making the album more energetic, resulting in more resonant and electric songs, with the themes of love and nostalgia.
