Rock in Rio has prepared a historic Metal Day! In addition to the incredible line-up of the World Stage, with legends like IRON MAIDEN, SCORPIONS, MEGADETH and SEPULTURA, on October 4th the metal will take over the entire City of Rock.

On Sunset Stage, SLAYER brings their fast and insane thrash metal on his farewell tour. Yes, it may be the last chance to see one of the most influential bands of all heavy music. Can´t miss, right? ANTHRAX show – also pioneers of thrash metal – is a unique experience in the metal world, with Scott Ian’s extremely heavy riffs and the charisma of Joey Belladonna. Be ready to be caught in a mosh pit!

That´s not all: TORTURE SQUAD and CLAUSTROFOBIA, two great representatives of Brazilian thrash / death metal come together for a special show, and none other than TESTAMENT vocalist Chuck Billy participates in singing his band’s classics. Did you think it was over? We will still have the incredible female power trio from São Paulo, NERVOSA, that has been conquering the world and will warm up all the public present.

In The Rock District THE RAVEN AGE, which features guitarist George Harris, son of legendary IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris, will perform their songs. Espaço Favela joins the Metal Day with the band CANTO CEGO.
