Red Hot Chili Peppers, Post Malone, Disturbed, Keane, Deftones & Zara Larsson to play Pinkpop 2020

None other than RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and POST MALONE make their appearance at the 51st edition of Pinkpop. Joining them are DISTURBED, KEANE, DEFTONES and ZARA LARSSON also travel to Limburg in June.

Check out the official 2019 aftermovie:

It was an eventful year for RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, from a tribute for the victims of the fires in California, they went through a performance with POST MALONE at the Grammy Awards evening to shows in Australia, Tasmania, Abu Dhabi and at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. We are also looking forward to both a documentary and a new studio album, and to top it all off Anthony, Flea, Chad and Josh are at Pinkpop Festival as headliners on Friday 19th June.

The aforementioned POST MALONE will also be at Pinkpop next summer. The biography of this rapper, singer, songwriter and producer, born as Austin Richard Post, is full of records (78.7 million album streams on Spotify for Beerbongs & Bentleys on the day of release in April 2018, for example) and collaborations with 50 Cent, Young Thug, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, Ozzy Osbourne AND the Red Hot Chili Peppers. With his versatile approach and assisted in the Netherlands by record label Top Notch from the start, he withdraws all possible genres into his world of experience and with that POST MALONE is one of the benchmarks of contemporary American pop music. POST MALONE is the headliner for Pinkpop Saturday 20th June.

DISTURBED sounds more accessible than ever on the most recent album Evolution from 2018. The rock band from Chicago has sold more than sixteen million records since the founding in 1996, a fanatical following and performances at many major metal festivals worldwide. DISTURBED has never been at Pinkpop before, but that will finally change in 2020!

Another great artist making her debut at Pinkpop in 2020 is Swedish singer ZARA LARSSON. The singer combines R & B and dance styles with catchy pop melodies like no other. Since her breakthrough with Lush Life in 2015, the hits followed each other in rapid succession, up to the brand new Invisible, which appeared in early November as part of the soundtrack of Netflix animation film Klaus. You can count on her performance leading to happy faces in Landgraaf.

This is also the case when it is Pinkpop’s turn at KEANE. In September the album Cause and Effect was released and KEANE seems reborn. No one could blame them for announcing in 2013 that the band was giving up. It had been a stormy year, from the instant success of Somewhere Only We Know in 2004 to the Afrojack remix of Sovereign Light Café in 2012. That the break would last almost six years, however, no fan expected that. So welcome back and count on a set full of sing-alongs!

Finally, festival organisers can also announce the return of DEFTONES to Landgraaf. They were once one of the tastemakers of what is now called metal. However, if something characterises this band from the Californian capital Sacramento, it is that they have stoically walked their own way with their albums and their many tours. During Dia de los Deftones, their own festival in San Diego in early November, singer Chino Moreno said that they only need to record the vocal melodies and the ninth DEFTONES album will hopefully be released in the first half of 2020 – Followed by a performance at Pinkpop!

Pinkpop 2020 takes place on Friday, June 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday June 21st at Megaland in Landgraaf and never before have the ticket sales of the festival started this early.
