AURORA signed an international record contract backstage at the Øya Festival in 2014. She is one of the biggest Norwegian pop successes in recent years abroad, where she fills large arenas. 2022 will be an eventful year for AURORA, the new album The Gods We Can Touch will be released on 21st January and on Saturday 13th August she will be playing Øya Festival. This will be her first concert in Eastern Norway since November 2019.
She has previously released three strong albums, several radio hits, had tremendous streaming numbers and there is great interest internationally. In just a few years, she has performed at huge festivals, popular TV shows and she has toured on most continents. AURORA experiences success as far away from home as Australia, Mexico and Brazil, and fills far larger concert venues abroad than in Norway. The debut album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend (2016) gave her a large audience. She has followed up in 2018 and 2019 with the two-part Infections Of A Different Kind (Step 1) and A Different Kind of Human (Step 2). In the summer of 2021 came the single Cure for Me, with a video that now has 12 million views on Youtube.
When “Conqueror” literally conquered the audience by storm in the end, there is still no doubt that AURORA is the big name for the future. Much because of good songs, even more because she is herself, demonically good at her best.
AURORA has collaborated with Chemical Brothers and together with Idina Menzel has had a hit on several continents with the duet Into the Unknown, from the film Frozen 2. Organisers look forward to welcoming her back to Tøyenparken, in front of a large and enthusiastic audience.
