Oslo Sommertid adds Swedish pop star Veronica Maggio

The next artist for Oslo Sommertid is ready and it is great to announce that it is Sweden’s undisputed pop queen, VERONICA MAGGIO! She sold out the upcoming concert at Sentrum Scene in a short time and set a new record with a total of 51,000 visitors during three concerts at Gröna Lund in Stockholm earlier this year. On Friday, June 26th, the same day as superstar TAYLOR SWIFT, she plays at Oslo Sommertid.

Since her debut in 2006, VERONICA MAGGIO has been hailed by journalists and fans. She has won the awards and achieved an incredible commercial success with her five critically acclaimed albums. It has also given her countless platinum albums and over 800 million streams. She is undoubtedly one of Sweden’s absolute greatest artists, and it is no secret that she is Sweden’s undisputed pop queen.

This spring VERONICA released the single “Kurt Cobain”, and then “Tillfälligheter” from the sixth studio album Fiender är sad. The singles quickly became fan favorites, and have also achieved great commercial success with over 30 million streams. Before the summer, VERONICA also had the opportunity to collaborate with the popular group Hov1 on their single “Hornstullsstrand”, which ended up as number 1 on Spotify.

VERONICA MAGGIO started her summer tour playing three nights in a row at Gröna Lund in Stockholm, which has never been done before in modern times. During the three magical evenings a whopping 51,000 people attended, which is a new audience record for Gröna Lund. Louis Armstrong’s 1962 concert had the old record of 35,000 visitors.

In addition to the album, a short film was also released September 27 with the same title, directed by Måns Nyman and written by Nyman and Veronica. The short film is set for Gotland and is a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired story starring Veronica.

Enemies is Tråkigt consists of ten songs, all written by Veronica along with Jocke Berg, Simon Hassle and Agrin Rahmani, all of whom have been involved throughout the album process. VERONICA MAGGIO is nominated in three categories in the Swedish edition of P3 Gold; Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop of the Year.
