NXWORRIES feat. Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge to headline NorthSide 2023 – FIRST AID KIT, JPEGMAFIA, PURPLE DISCO MACHINE and more added to the lineup!
The super duo, Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge aka NXWORRIES, have released their first new single in six years and will be reunited at NorthSide 2023.
It’s not long ago, Aarhus-based festival NorthSide revealed the first 10 names for next year’s festival – including MUSE, THE 1975, WHITE LIES, LP and more. Now, another eight names have been added to the festival taking place from June 1st to 3rd in Denmark’s second largest city.
Among next year’s headliners are rapper and singer ANDERSON .PAAK and producer KNXWLEDGE. They released the underground hit “Suede” in 2015 under the name NXWORRIES and soon gained recognition for their smooth blend of soul, jazz, and hip hop. In October, the pair released the new single “Where I Go” feat. R&B-star H.E.R. which marked their first release in six years.
FIRST AID KIT are known for their mesmerizing vocal harmonies and captivating blend of folk, Americana, and pop. The Swedish sisters have racked up over 1 billion streams and have had great success with songs like “My Silver Lining”, “Emmylou” and “Fireworks”. They’ve recently released their fifth studio album Palomino.
Hailing from the American underground hip hop scene, NorthSide presents rapper JPEGMAFIA, known for his experimental productions, high-energy live shows, and sharp words on political and societal issues – including important aspects of Black Culture and art, and Western appropriation.
TOBIAS RAHIM is one of the biggest new pop stars in Denmark advocating against toxic masculinity with his chart-topping pop hits. For the fourth year in a row, Danish rapper GILLI is once again the most streamed artist in Denmark, surpassing the likes of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Drake. He recently played his biggest show to date to 10.000 people in Copenhagen’s Royal Arena.
ELECTRA returns – Last year, NorthSide introduced the new stage for electronic music ELECTRA which will be back for 2023. Fans of electronic music can now look forward to seeing the German producer PURPLE DISCO MACHINE, who’s one of the strongest new voices of his generation of disco and house producers. Also, the mysterious, masked DJ and producer CLAPTONE has been announced alongside Scottish duo LF SYSTEM.
