The resurrected rock giants, NEPHEW are confirmed as first name for next year’s Jelling Music Festival and play on opening day Wednesday, May 29th.
With big Danish-language new classics, like ‘Again & Again &’, ‘Join You’, ‘Superliga’ and ‘Heartstarter’ in the back, Nephew is one of the most popular Danish rock bands in the last 15 years. Both reviewers and the audience were also very excited when NEPHEW returned to the festivals with two magnificent concerts at Roskilde Festival and Smukfest, this summer after a long break.
Now there is hope for the Nephew-happy festival guests, Simon Kvamm and Co. make sure to shoot the Jelling Music Festival with a bang when they play the festival opening day, Wednesday, May 29th.
In May it is 6 years since the band last played at the Jelling Music Festival, namely for the 25th anniversary of the festival, where they stormed the audience. Nephew is therefore a long-lost name on the poster, which finally returns and gives the audience an opportunity to sing along with their immortal hits.
Since the band was last past Jelling, they have reinvented themselves, including the new member Marie Højlund – and they have been very successful with the Ring-I-Ring album, which was released last year. Especially songs like Amsterdam and the Singing Travelers, who offered a surprising collaboration with Nik & Jay, have helped to draw new generations into Nephews special universe.
Tickets are on sale from 1st December 2018
