Mura Masa, The Prodigy, Tove Lo join the Positivus Festival line up


THE PRODIGY, TOVE LO, MURA MASA, LAUV, TORRES and THE BARR BROTHERS have been added to the Positivus festival line-up, while one of the most anticipated performances this summer will no doubt be Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.  Positivus festival 2018 will bring together lovers of good music and great fun on July 20 – 22 in Salacgriva, Latvia.

The extravagant techno-electro band THE PRODIGY has filled music venues since the late 1990s, yet nothing suggests that their energy might run out. Their latest studio album The Day Is My Enemy was released in 2015, but in concerts The Prodigy still plays also their most famous hits, such as Voodoo People and Firestarter. They will be the Saturday night headliners.

MURA MASA in his music masters capturing the sense of contemporary world and makes cosmopolitanism a present and integral part of daily life, meanwhile he has created a new universe of sounds by capturing everyday noises and marks of different cultures.

Swedish pop singer TOVE LO creates darkly atmospheric music, which is why music critics have given her the title of “the saddest girl in Sweden”, however her artistic compositional work has brought her prestigious awards, also for co-writing Ellie Goulding’s famous hit Love Me Like You Do.

The young American musician LAUV brings to its listeners romantic music filled with light idealism and melancholic sound, which creates a sense of emotional presence and allows to enjoy some truly positive moments.  The American singer TORRES fuses electro-pop beats, goth-industrial moods and imperceptible presence of krautrock. However, in-between the wide range of instruments used the key role is still played by singer’s passionate and attention-grabbing voice.  The Canadian band THE BARR BROTHERS makes people happy with folk-rock music played in psychedelic manner and highlighted with a variety of authentic instruments from around the world.
