Martin Garrix, Tones and I and more confirmed for Colours of Ostrava 2021

Czech festival Colours of Ostrava has confirmed the first names from this year’s program also for 2021 – MARTIN GARRIX, TONES AND I, WARDRUNA, DUBIOZA KOLEKTIV, FATOUMATA DIAWARA and BAKERMAT

Superhero of the dance scene, MARTIN GARRIX is one of the best contemporary DJs and electronic music producers. Despite the fact that he practically became the eternal DJ number one day (DJ Mag awarded him first place three times in a row in the prestigious Top 100 DJs), he personally never wrapped it up for a second. He continued to develop, studied music production at a specialized academy and, above all, never forgot where he came from, his true roots.

Electro pop hitmaker from Byron Bay beach. There was almost no escape from the tidal wave of the massive success of Dance Monkey and Johnny Run Away, and the only one still reluctant to believe the giant hype is songwriter and singer Toni Watson, who calls herself TONES AND I – a former busker after her time sleeping in a van.

FATOUMATA DIAWARA is a Malian singer and guitarist who pushes the boundaries of African music. For her explosive Afropop record, Fenfo received a Grammy non-nomination and worked her way up to become one of West Africa’s most influential female speakers. She has starred in Césary-nominated and Oscar-nominated films, with Robert Fonseca, Herbie Hancock, Matthieu Chedid, the electronic duo Disclosure, Tony Allen, and joined Damon Albarn’s Africa Express.

A sound engineer from Amsterdam, accompanied by a live saxophonist. His name is Lodewijk Fluttert, but you all know him by the pseudonym BAKERMAT. The 28-year-old DJ, who turned his native Amsterdam into the cradle of dance music. With the convincing power of the musical faith, it draws in and mixes various genres and influences, whether it is classical, deep house, jazz or funk and blues.

DUBIOZA KOLEKTIV are Balkan mestizos with an anarchist strategy: one world, one fight and a concert must hurt. With an overwhelming mix of hip hop, trip hop, reggae, jumping, hardcore and Bosnian ballads, seven Sarajevo musicians and rappers will beat you into the board like a nail.

WARDRUNA – Viking musical ritual about the secrets of life. A musical project by composer, singer and musician Einar Selvik aka Kvitrafna, drawing on a passion for Norse mythology and spiritualism, inspired by the pagan runic alphabet futhark hiding the wisdom of the Nordic nations.
