Martin Garrix and Michael Kiwanuka confirmed for Open’er festival 2021!

MARTIN GARRIX made his first spectacular success at the age of 17, when his single “Animals” appeared on the market. Within a few weeks, the recording made a Dutch DJ a global star, and the clip for the song has been watched over 1.3 billion times today. However, counted in hundreds of millions of streams and the first places on the charts sealed his status as an EDM icon.

It is enough to appear on one of the artist’s sets to understand the strength of his success. Youth, music, unpretentiousness, contact with the public and an unreliable visual show. Here is a picture of the idol of our time, who as a child dreamed of being a DJ and more than fulfilled them, reaching twice for the title of the best DJ in the world according to “DJ’s Magazine”. Last year, the “BYLAW” EP was released, which hit the top twenty best dance albums in the US, and this year served fans a series of singles – including “Summer Days” with Macklemor and Patrick Stump.

MARTIN GARRIX will perform in Gdynia on July 2!

Since 2012 and the debut album “Home Again” MICHAEL KIWANUKA has grown into one of the most important representatives of British indie rock and folk. This is largely due to the success of the album “Love & Hate” (2016), which includes such songs as “Cold Little Heart” (popularised by the series “Big Lies”) or the title song. He admits that “Love & Hate” was quite introspective and was a kind of therapy for him. Creating the last album simply entitled “Kiwanuka”, he finally felt himself.

I remember signing my first record contract and getting questions about what I wanted to be called. But I never wanted to take nicknames like Johnny Thunders or many other artists in front of me. On this album, I will finally reconcile myself. I won’t have no alter ego. I won’t become Sasha Fierce or Ziggy Stardust, although everyone suggests something similar to me. I can just be Michael Kiwanuka.
