Marshmello, Kaskade, Martin Garrix & more for Electric Zoo 2018

Finally the wait is over! Electric Zoo –  The Big 10 phase one announcement is here. We promised that this year would be a party like no other, and we’ll be celebrating a decade as New York City’s premiere dance music festival with some of the most exciting acts in the global scene.

Sitting at the head of the table as veritable legends of the scene are KASKADE, MARTIN GARRIX and the enigmatic MARSHMELLO, three names that have dominated dance music and show absolutely no signs of slowing their role.

Dance music’s emotional boy genius Porter Robinson returns under his new moniker VIRTUAL SELF, delivering a big nod to the tech’d out trance sounds of the Y2K era. Progressive house wizard 3LAU also features, having just dropped his super warm, post-tropical new album Ultraviolet.  Electric Zoo is also bringing influential Toronto duo ZEDS DEAD, English-Norwegian crossover star ALAN WALKER, and ILLENIUM, whose pop-flecked dance floor anthems have placed him firmly as one of the scene’s next superstars.

Electric Zoo 2018 Phase 1 Line Up poster-usa
The bass headz are going to be wonking out on this lineup, which sees legend GRAMATIK, Mad Decent regulars BOOMBOX CARTEL, LA’s agro bassheads SLANDER, OWSLA’s bass queen MIJA, and US dubstep flagbearer 12th PLANET.  DOCTOR P is bringing us some fizzing electro dubstep from England, and he’s joined by fellow countrymen TROYBOI, STOOKI SOUND and the tough to pigeon-hole REDLIGHT. Atlanta is represented by HEROBUST, while at the sharper end of the spectrum sit gnarly bass instigators RIOT TEN, LUZCID, and 4B.

The eclectic low-slung jams of ZOMBOY, KRANE, GG MAGREE and EPROM will all feature, as will the stirring sparkly computer sounds of INFUZE and the “lean bass” flavors of CHUURCH. Nest regular WHIPPED CREAM is bringing some atmospheric dubstep, with KUURO, GRAVES, ALEXANDER LEWIS, DEUX TWINS, frequent Drake collaborator EKALI

Rising through the ranks is the insanely talented 16-year-old Trap Nation favorite DNMO, while the notorious producers of the hilariously unsettling track ‘I Do Coke’ KILL THE NOISE, and NorCal hip hop heads HIPPIE SABOTAGE round out the Electric Zoo bass acts.

Phase one also gives a lot of love to the #trancefam, with Above & Beyond’s seminal label Anjuna hosting their own stage at Electric Zoo.  Genre legends GABRIEL & DRESDEN, ANDREW BAYER, ILAN BLUESTONE, SPENCER BROWN and JASON ROSS are set to charge Randall’s Island with some epic big room euphoria.

September brings with it the final shades of summer, and we’re bringing a stack of radiant pop-electro acts to bliss out our 10th birthday bash! AUDIEN is arguably one of the icons sunbleached crossover house, while NYC-based smooth crooner GRYFFIN is rising up festival bills extremely quickly, as is frequent Illenium collaborator SAID THE SKY.  SAN HOLO is the next in a long line of dutch big room producers, with his track “Light” closing in on 100 million Spotify spins.

Australia’s ANNA LUNOE has been responsible for some of the warmest toplines of the last few summers. CRAY is bringing her sultry pop house, along with CASH CASH’S radiant electronica. Englishman CODEKO returns after delivering the Ezoo anthem of 2016, while Fillipino-born MANILA KILLA will deliver some blissed out tropical house vibes.

There has been two labels that have defined the conduit between mainstage bass and underground house music:  Dirtybird and Night Bass.
DB’s hugely talented producer and DJ JUSTIN MARTIN will be bouncing into Randall’s Island, joined by labelmate SHIBA SAN, whose heater “Okay” was one of the most memorable underground anthems of the past five years.

Night Bass boss AC SLATER will be coming in hot from LA with co-conspirator PETEY CLICKS. OWSLA regulars HABSTRAKT and NOIZU will be bringing some tight booty house, while WAX MOTIF – a longstanding and influential presence at the intersection of bass and house music—will be giving a masterclass in bassline-driven groove.

Elsewhere, K?D will be twisting melons with own brand of eclectic weirdo house, while DEVAULT works a unique sound that lands at the meeting point between grunge and deep house. We’re also happy to bring in local Jersey Club queen UNIIQU3 to Ezoo, where she can bring some of that nasty bounce from our neighboring state.
