Rock en Seine is pleased to announce that LONDON GRAMMAR is joining the already exceptional line-up of its 2022 edition and will play on August 26th 2022 alongside NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, JAMES BLAKE, KRAFTWERK, DIIV, JEHNNY BETH and many more. ‘others !
The London trio, author of three memorable albums, working in the waters of dream-pop, electronica, orchestral pop and trip hop, will come to perform at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud their classic-like compositions, like Wasting My Young Years, Strong or Lord It’s A Feeling.
Despite what you might have understood after listening to their first hit, Wasting My Young Years, these three Londoners haven’t squandered a single second of their youth: since they started out in 2013, they’ve been making memorable songs that swim in the waters of dream pop, electronica, orchestral pop and trip hop. It’s been ten years now that the group reinvents its artistry with each new album. The most recent, Californian Soil (2021), sees their singer, the usually discreet Hannah Reid, take the reins and assume her role as leader which suits her perfectly. Her contralto voice, as comfortable soaring to emotional heights as it is to maintaining an elegant restraint, takes on new proportions as this young sensitive woman grows more mature and gains in self-confidence.
