Lil Tecca, Jelassi and Timbuktu join the Bayside Festival Sweden line up

American hip hop star LIL TECCA is confirmed for Bayside Festival 2020 in Helsingborg 10th – 11th July.

No one can have missed the mega hit “Ransom” with LIL TECCA who has close to half a billion streams on Spotify. The New York rapper’s debut album “We Love You Tecca” has a total of nearly a billion streams on Spotify. LIL TECCA’S distinctive trap-rap combined with his sense of melodies have made him a hot name on the international hip hop scene. LIL TECCA takes on the Pixla Stage at the Bayside Festival 2020 on Saturday, July 11th.

JELASSI is the young hip hop phenomenon from Farsta (Stockholm) who has been hanging out in studios and writing lyric since her teens. She played at the SMASH Festival 2018 before releasing an official single. She has performed at the Polar Music Prize and on the guest guest Silvana Imam and Cherrie. She says she is tired of negativism, glorification of violence and drugs, wants to contribute something else instead.

Jason Diakité, better known as TIMBUKTU, is one of Sweden’s greatest hip hop artists of all time. Since his first single release in 1996, he has performed both as a solo artist and in various other constellations, including with the band DAMN! which he toured with for over 15 years. He has released a dozen albums, awarded numerous Gold and Platinum records, won eight Grammys and four P3 Gold awards.

In 2016 Jason made his debut as a writer with the family movie En Droppe Midnatt. The book, which is up in over 100,000 sold copies, is a family chronicle of Jason’s search for its roots – a search that takes us from slavery’s United States to the home of Sweden. In 2017, the gripping story was turned into a live performance that was staged on stage in several locations around the country. The success show has been going full house since the premiere, breaking public records on the stage Höjden at Way Out West this summer and even managed to sell the piece of opera in Oslo in advance.

With hundreds of concerts in the back, TIMBUKTU & DAMN! cemented its position as one of the leading live orchestras of our time – and also established itself far beyond the borders of the country. In the fall of 2019, Timbuktu was in So Much Better on TV4 and this summer he and Damn go! on an extensive tour the country over.
