Latin music star Bad Bunny is the first act confirmed for MEO Sudoeste 2020

BAD BUNNY is one of the strongest names in Latin music today. Since he started in 2016, the Puerto Rican singer, rapper and producer has been at the forefront of new trends in Latin-flavored urban music. And his fame begins even before a record is released, which makes this young musician’s journey even more impressive.

BAD BUNNY was born in 1994 under the baptism name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio. He started singing at the age of five and always took the music very seriously, influenced by names like Héctor Lavoe, Vito C, Daddy Yankee and Marc Anthony. He studied audiovisual communication in Puerto Rico, started working in a supermarket and never gave up making his music, publishing his first songs on Soundcloud. Songs like “Diles”, “Soy Peor” and “Pa Ti” showed that this young man from Puerto Rico was coming to make his mark, and in 2018, his name appears four times in the top singles and reaching the top spot on rapper Cardi B’s “I Like It” song, also featuring J Balvin. His debut album, “X 100PRE”, also released in 2018, reached the number one spot in the Latin bestselling album chart.

BAD BUNNY’s commercial success is due to his contagious energy and eclectic approach that can mix Latin soul, pop, r & b, reggaeton and a host of other, always serving a wide spectrum of emotions, from love to anger sometimes within the same song. Songs like “Mia,” featuring Drake and over 900,000 YouTube views, ensure an unforgettable show at MEO Sudoeste’s 2020 edition.
