Now it is clear that KVELERTAK will be rounding off the Circus festival. Festival organisers are looking forward to their power rock to fill the big tent, and make a fantastic end to Øya 2020 on Saturday 15th August.
KVELERTAK has achieved something no other Norwegian-language rock band has managed, touring year after year in major arenas internationally. Their own mix of punk, metal and rock has given them a solid fan base across much of the world. With the three albums Kvelertak (2010), Meir (2013) and Nattesferd (2016) they have spread energetic and powerful music from festival scenes, arenas and clubs across much of the world. The band has toured with legends like Metallica and Slayer, as well as other quality bands such as Mastodon, Gojira, Ghost and Converge.
This is a band staunchly committed to musical principles that most of the scene only thinks it understands: clever songwriting, satisfying articulation, and fresh delivery. I wait to hear what comes next.

In February, the album Splid comes, the first with Ivar Nikolaisen on vocals. The advance talks show that media from all over the world are looking forward to hearing new music. As a taster, the band has released the seven minute Bråtebrann. Like the first two discs, Splid is recorded by Kurt Ballou of Converge. After the album release, KVELERTAK embarks on a new Europe tour!
