The Oerrock 2020 line-up has been announced with KENSINGTON as main act, the Ureterper festival presents a variety of artists. From rock, punk, retro, folk, rap, hardcore, country, no ingredient is missing in the musical recipe of the biggest festival in the North.
Oerrock has a reputation to uphold and does not disappoint this year either. The broad programming guarantees that every music lover will find what they are looking for. Oerrock offers big names, established order, upcoming talent and always has surprising guests. Young and old are served according to their musical wishes.
KENSINGTON, by far the largest rock band in the Netherlands, is the absolute headliner of the 21st edition of Oerrock on Ascension Day. Frontman Eloi Youssef and his band will close the first day of the festival on 21 May. The performance of KENSINGTON is the famous cherry on the cake, because the festivalgoers have already seen the necessary musical fireworks pass by.
MISS MONTREAL will kick off the festival at the end of the afternoon. The popular singer and house artist from Oerrock, who is popular in Ureterp, will undoubtedly keep the festival grounds busy from the start. On Ascension Day there are also planned performances by KRAANTJE PAPPIE, ROWWEN HÈZE, THE DIRTY DADDIES, MOON, DJ PAUL ELSTAK, INDIAN ASKIN, TOY DOLLS, JOE BUCK, MEROL, ROB DEKAY and the numbers one and two of the Oerrock Play-Offs.
With the arrival of the Australian rock band WOLFMOTHER, the first Aussies on Oerrock, the festival provides an appealing surprise. WOLFMOTHER is a household name worldwide. Frontman and guitar god Andrew Stockdale will undoubtedly shake the foundations with world hits like “Woman” and “Joker and the Thief” Oerrock.
Also the program for the final day, traditionally the day for the Tributebands, can be there. RUMORS (Fleetwood Mac) comes to Ureterp from the United States. The presence of an American band is also a first for Oerrock. ABBA FEVER, a great success last year, closes the closing day of the festival. But not before, among others: FORTUNATE SONS (CCR), ULTIMATE GUNS AND ROSES, KATY ELLIS (Katy Perry), STATUS QUOTES (Status Quo) LENNY JAY (Michael Jackson) and the Italian BAD MEDICINE (Bon Jovi) have entertained the public.
We offer a broad and varied line-up. In programming, we also take into account that, by contrasting different genres, visitors always have a choice.

The layout of the festival is changing slightly. For example, the foodcorner is split into two sections to better spread the food on offer throughout the festival grounds. there will also be an extra toilet area and the Cozy Corner meadow will have its own toilet facilities. The main stage this year bears the name of main sponsor Gebr. Algra and the large tent (formerly Gebr. Algra) will become the Infrawatch tent. The Sonnema tent does not change its name.
