HOOBASTANK with their first three albums reached the gold, platinum and multi-platinum marks. The most iconic of all, The Reason (2003), was nominated for Best Rock Album and Best Pop Performance at that year’s Grammys, a ceremony that also highlighted the song that takes its name from the album and was named Song of the Year. Even today The Reason runs on national radio and is sung by thousands of fans of the band from Los Angeles.

For EDP Vilar de Mouros 2022, HOOBASTANK are preparing a special performance that coincides with the celebration of their 20-year career. With them they bring Push Pull (2018), the surprising sixth work of originals and the first since 2012, the year of Fight or Fight. In the words of lead singer Doug Robb, co-founder of the band with then-college colleagues Dan Estrin and Chris Hesse, Push Pull is the album where HOOBASTANK gave it their all, take it or leave it, and the first created under the independent publisher Napalm Records. The result is a set of eleven themes inspired by alternative rock and danceable pop by some Duran Duran, INXS or U2 from the 80s and 90s.
